Lieberman attends a synagogue whose Rabbi, Barry Freundel, is at the forefront of a group (Alliance for Marriage ) pushing for a Constitutional amendment that would define marriage as being between a man and woman. Lieberman has said he's against this.
If Lieberman would have left Wright's congregation then why does he continue to worship with a Rabbi who wants to use the Constitution to LIMIT human and civil rights?

Indeed, I skip most of them. Does that mean I'm not allowed to point out that TPM has become absurdly obsessed with polls, posting the results of multiple polls almost daily? Or that alternative media like TPM should not be as lazy or, frankly, mindless as the CNNs who blithely report every poll as if it means anything?
The reporting at TPM is often excellent. I'd hate to see the current trend continue - polling results replacing real reporting.

I'm really tired of this obsession with every poll that comes out. This has turned into a daily game. And TPM should be smarter than playing this game. Every frigging day.

It's faked, no question. Their sizes are not proprtionally correct. That's definitely not a deep-focus shot (her up front, him in back). She's digitally added and the most telling thing is the cut to the hand holding the coffee cup which was done in a set-up that almost certainly included a stand-in for one or the other. This is old Hollywood stuff, often used for movies with actors playing double roles. That's a classic cut meant to help make the viewer unconciously see the process shots as real.
Not that it really matters - but it is pretty funny for a candidate to make a commercial about being a family man and not even be filmed in the same frame or at the same time as the other family member.

Steve - I disagree with you but I respect that you are forthcoming about being a McCain supporter (not faking it like fogu2).
But the fact is we don't know what attacks might have been prevented if any. Since, as has been pointed out, 8 years passed between the 1st WTC attack and 9/11, and since we know Al Qaida was pretty seriously disrupted with the invasion of Afghanistan, it's really not a certainty that other significant attacks were actually intercepted. There were a lot of flimsy claims of groups planning attacks - but nothing the Bush admin ever pointed to that seemed far along or even seriously credible. And given their propensity for parading every two-bit would-be terrorist they claimed had something in the works - well, I gotta tell ya I'm a little skeptical that they ever intercepted anything real. I think they would have made sure everyone knew about it, don't you?
Maybe I'm wrong but I just don't see the evidence. And given the 8 years between the two WTC attacks - I wouldn't assume they deserve too much credit.
And btw - there was one other attack: the shoe bomber. He got onto a US airliner. The Bush admin didn't get him, the passengers and crew did.

You're the one who said you were against the war, chum.
You're the one who criticized Obama for being against the war.
Please give me the example of how I fictionalized what you said.

So your argument is that you were against the invasion and you were right; Obama was against the invasion and he was wrong.
Do you realize how ridiculous you sound?

You make no sense whatsoever. If you were against the war then you should be criticizing yourself, as you criticized Obama, for ignoring the evidence and taking a high-risk gamble.
I think you're losing track of which persona you've adopted for which thread on which board. Write them out on a list and keep them handy by your monitor:

I second this - everyone must read the whole thing. It's excellent.
