The longer attention is on Democrats, the better. Any drama surrounding Clinton/Obama will be a boon to Obama, especially since it is obvious that Obama is the nominee and that Clinton will do everything possible to help him win. All this hysteria is just tantrums and shortsightedness. I hope the Obamabots don't make it impossible for our man to pick Clinton, if that is the best course in HIS judgement. Likewise, maniacal HRC supporters could force his hand in the other direction. Let's just leave it to the nominee's judgement, which has worked pretty well so far.

Conservative Christians support Israel like the rope supports the hanged man. Or like the farmer fattens his veal.

Either Hitler was part of god's plan or god failed to control Hitler. Either way, god doesn't come off well here. Shouldn't your imaginary friend be nicer?

As a member of the "Moses" generation, it is gratifying to see our children emerge from 40 years in the desert to enter the post-racial promised land.

Great post. Worrying about a divided party in April makes as much sense as worrying about baseball standings. It is amazing to hear the same morons say the same things every season. Two games out with only five months to go. Is it too late for the Yankees? Then in September, they seem surprised that the cream has risen. Do they know better and just trot this crap out to keep the audience interested? Or are they as ignorant and memory-impaired as they sound?
In the Fall, Obama will have his pitching rotation in order, his defense sharp, and his offense hitting hard. All this is just a tuneup for crunch time. Its going to be a great season.

Half of the White Freedom Riders were Jewish, even though Jews were less than 3% of the population. When all is SAID and DONE, the asses on the line were Jewish at seventeen hundred percent of their proportion of the population.

Racial does not equal racist. For African Americans to choose the darker-complected of two politically aceptable candidates makes perfect sense to me. I (not African American) see Obama's heritage and racial mixture as a big positive in terms of how he can lead an increasingly beige America and relate to the rest of the world. Does voting based on race make me a (selfhating) racist, or is a partly race-based decision legitimate and even politically correct?
Can we please disregard the nuts on the blogs and the inflammatory snippets that the MSM love so much and focus on how great (and getting greater) the new ruling coalition can be when Obama helps usher in a post-racial polity?

I don't understand why people say Fl and Mich popular votes "don't count." The popular vote doesn't count at all in any formal way. BUT, when the automatic (also known as super) delegates make their decisions, the preferences of millions of Democrats in those two states will be considered, with whatever caveats the individual dels want to include as they try to determine HOW WE WIN IN NOVEMBER. HRC has indeed gotten more primary votes than anyone in history. How this is weighed and which votes matter and what that all means is up to each individual delegate. THAT IS WHAT THE RULES OF THE PARTY ARE DESIGNED FOR. EVERYTHING COUNTS in this last phase. And please stop saying "she can't catch up." Who is ahead at this point is a factor in how the superdels decide, but 2025 wins.
