At a St. Patrick's day party this weekend I found out that five of my friends, age 50+ and WASPS, are Obama supporters like me. (Our host and hostess had a McCain sign in their front yard but admitted their hearts aren't in it but then we do live in Arizona.) You may be surprised to learn that one of the women said that she and her husband had listened to the videos of Rev. Wright and said they honestly couldn't disagree with any of what he said.

It is way past time that the Civil Rights Movement enters the 21st century.

I have faith that Obama will be helping that happen with his speech on Tuesday.

It is very illuminating if you consider the motivation for the crossover. Those voting for Obama are doing so because they believe in his candidacy. Those voting for Clinton are doing so to insure the weaker candidate wins.

Go figure.

Clinton has shown that she is not prepared to challenge Obama on the issues and wants to get down in the mud. My bet is that there is a lot more dirt to throw her way and I have no doubt that the past 8 years may be quite fertile.

When you read the story from the Canadian press tonight it makes you wonder how an off hand comment about Clinton's campaign telling the embassy to take her NAFTA criticism with a grain of salt can turn into a story about Obama's campaign doing that very thing!

Somebody needs to find out who twisted the story and who stands to gain by hurting the Obama campaign.
