  • I Will Dispute It

After last Tuesday's (5/6) primaries in SC and IN, Tim Russert declared, "We now know who the Democratic nominee will be.  And no one will dispute it."   I conceded defeat in my mind, even though Hillary hadn't yet.  I...more »

  • The Best Interest of Our Party

There's been a lot of talk this political season about what's "in the best interest of our party" as Democrats.  Usually, it's used as a means to try to force Hillary out of the race.  Here's my idea of what's...more »

  • Setting The Record Straight

Yesterday, TPM dedicated two posts to whether or not the Obama campaign will attack Clinton on 90s scandals such as Whitewater and Cattle Futures.    David Plouffe, Obama's campaign manager, assured TPM this: "We're not gonna do that," Plouffe said....more »

  • A Sincere Question

As I have often said in the past, I think Obama is a skilled and intelligent politician.  For the most part he has a decent grasp of the issues.  He's a quick study on the things he doesn't know.  What...more »

  • Obama's New Politics

During last night's debate, Obama had this to say about his PA "elitist" gaffe. So the problem that we have in our politics, which is fairly typical, is that you take one person's statement, if it's not properly phrased, and...more »

  • Hillary's Environmental Revolution

Billy Glad's emotional blog about Hillary being his revolution struck a chord with me.  Though I'm only a 23 year old male, I understand his back and forth relationship with Hillary.  I started leaning towards Obama in the very beginning...more »

  • Obama--No Oil Company Money?

FactCheck.org took a look at Obama's claim that he doesn't take money from oil companies and here is their summary: In a new ad, Obama says, "I don’t take money from oil companies."Technically, that's true, since a law that has...more »

  • Hillary is to Health Care as Obama is to ?

Genghis has said that these reader posts have sucked recently, so I'm hoping to start a discussion.  This might suck too, though.  Who knows? During this campaign season, we have seen that most politicians have a "thing" that they're known...more »

I'm on a bit of a factcheck.org binge today.  I'm sure many of you have either seen posted on a blog here or sent via e-mail a list comparing Obama's and Clinton's Senate record.  You know, the one that compares...more »

  • Perhaps you misread, but I asked the difference between confidence and inevitability, not entitlement.

  • Please explain to me the difference between the confidence you so admire and the inevitability you so detest. It seems a fine line.

  • It's not fair. Obama supporters get to cry tears of joy...

I'm proud to have stood as a supporter over all these months. I may not be her traditional demographic (a twenty-something male), but I was a fierce supporter of Hillary. I'll never regret the time and money I spent on something I believed in so whole-heartedly.

I'm also proud that the Democratic Party has nominated Obama. What a year for us!

Now, it's time to beat McCain.

  • "If he becomes the nominee"? Sweetie, HE IS THE NOMINEE!!

Yes, he is. And she will support him. But she certainly can take the time to figure out how to properly end her historic run. Will you ever just let her be and acknowledge that she is certainly entitled to take a little time to figure things out? You want Obama to make reasoned and well-thought out decisions, but you won't give Hillary the time.

  • You're always saying you couldn't care less about what so and so thinks. Judging from your posts, you project onto Hillary all the bad things you know about yourself. Selfishness, caring only for yourself, being mean and self-righteous...I'm sad for you. Maybe it's time to start healing yourself.

  • Yes. I've heard her several times say that we should unite, that we will have a united party, that she will support Obama if he becomes the nominee, on and on and on. But to someone whose hatred floods their mind, how could you possibly hear and process that? You have a problem. You and Tena are pathological. Please get some help. Please just be happy. Don't you want to be happy? You should seriously ask yourselves that.

  • Will you all drop the faux-outrage, please? She's not stealing anything. Obama has his moment. Absorb it. He is the first African American nominated by a major party in the United States. Will you just finally be happy, and drop the Clinton hating for even a day? I'm extremely happy for Obama, and for our country, but when I read your comments it just pisses me off. Why are you trying to further divide our party?

  • How extraordinary of Obama to concede that, yes, FL is a state and its people deserve to be counted too. Hooray for enfranchising every other person!
