John, you said that the March 2008 Airport photo link had no mention of pregnancy, but I found this sentence: 'Of course I had to check out the “Hottest Governor in the US” and quickly turned to see her pregnant (she has since had her baby) with bags and daughter in tote.'
Do you have a cached version of the page without that sentence? Now that would be interesting indeed!

Given the stuff that's lurking in the background about her (husband Todd seems to be co-Governor, at least...), it wouldn't surprise me if McCain were forced to dump her, and then the convention used that as an excuse to dump McCain for Romney. Absolutely nothing would surprise me in Roveland.

NARAL = National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws (on its founding in 1968), it later became
NARAL = National Abortion Rights Action LeagueNARAL has a narrower agenda than "Feminists for Life" purports to. Other feminist groups advocate for child care.

I've been writing to right-wing websites to ask them to clarify what part of Sen. McCain's experience in Viet Nam qualifies as torture under the Bush adminsitration's definitions. One tool at National Review Online referred to McCain having been tortured for 5 1/2 years. Predictly, I've received no responses yet. I think we need to keep pounding this point.

Thanks, Wigmarx. It would have been nice of sean to include that in his initial post. ;-)

Dear LoriInMo,
Please point out one thing -- anything -- in either of Sen. Obama's books that is analagous to claiming that you are the reincarnation of Marilyn Monroe.
Here's some evidence that John McCain is not always what he claims to be:
http://www.alternet.org/election08/88101/But the real issue in this campaign is -- or should be -- policy differences. McCain's policies are very close to those of Pres. Bush. Sen. Obama's are not. And I want the Democratic Party to have control of cleaning up the messes created by the Bush administration at the DoJ, the Treasury Dept, the EPA, etc., not to mention handling appointments to the Supreme Court, which currently has SEVEN justices who were appointed by Republican presidents.

Bad title on the TPM homepage, though. The ad does not claim that McCain Caused Ohio Job Loss. It's too smart for that.

Crap, that whole thing was supposed to be in the blockquote. I don't think the tags are working the way they're supposed to...

That was Maureen Dowd's shtick in the NY Times today:
Some of McCain’s old pals in the Senate are cringing at what they see as his soulless transformation into what he once scorned.
“John’s eaten up with envy,” said one. “His image of himself was always the handsome, celebrity flyboy.
“Now somebody else is the celebrity,” the colleague continued, while John looks in the mirror and sees his face marred by skin cancer and looks at the TV and sees his dashing self-image replaced by visions of William Frawley, with Letterman jokes about his membership in the ham radio club and adventures with wagon trains.
For McCain, being cool meant being a rogue, not a policy wonk; but Obama manages to be a cool College Bowl type, which must irk McCain, who liked to play up his bad-boy cool. Now the guy in the back of the class is shooting spitballs at the class pet and is coming off as more juvenile than daring.
