Absolutely Agree. I fear that revenge and not sense will be on the minds of the Dems when they they take over. If they go that route then the public will see everyone as equally corrupt. which will be utterly bad mojo

I agree with the above posters. Our entire economy is dependant on fossil fuels to an extent most people do not realise. It's not just the trucks. The fertilizers are made with petroleum in the process....( tractors..but also the very fertilizer itself) so all this stuff about saving money with bio-fuels is just plain silly since if oilprices keep climbing the price of making bio-fuels will climb right along with them. So, the price of food is linked (we'll begin to feel the pinch at the gocery store fairly soon) to the price of oil.
The next time you take a bite out of that hamburger and have to fork out 10 dollars for the privilege I suspect you will not be so quick to think that your not effected ! :)

I'm getting the same thing on fireforx 1.5.01 on XP
With me, however, everythign is readable except that the blog title (headline..) bleeds into the tab-links (The coffee house.. american abroad... warren reports, etc)
Also on the left hand side some of the text from "overheard on blogs bleeds over as well, under boycotts do work there's Nonsense....Idiot and the idiot makes itself known in the body of the text of the main vblog post area.

The sense that I got when watching the segment was of calculation. Novak, like him or not, is a very calculative type.. and I personally favor the idea that he saw the Poe-esque "tell tale book" beating on the table and decided to beat a retreat (If you look at his face, it's calm.. especially around his eyes).
Looking at that book you can imagine the arithmatic in his head.."run away or face the post -it note.?"
Run away wins - everytime.
OH.. not even Fox would pick Novak up at this point. He's Journalistic kryptonite :)

The dems should respond with; that statement is a lie but if given a choice between no ideas and the Republicans horrific ideas like killing social security, invading Iraq for no reason at all, effectively cutting taxes for the rich and rasiing it for th epoor... we could do without those sorts of ideas, thanks.

That was a very well crafted article. Good analogy. Thank you.
Perhaps it didn't cover everything and perhaps it could have been written better but then how could it and there is no such thing as something as a piece that couldn't be just a little bit better.
Your bit of writing got us to think as well as being thoughtful. To my mind, that's a good peice of writing.

Not to open a can of worms.. but i would hazard a guess that most of the "drug problem" in the US has been manufactured by making it illegal.
It doesn't seem logical to me that i "war on drugs" is seriously going to help. So far it's just helped the drug dealers raise their rates and it has, to be admitted, given local law enforcement something to do, but as far as actually helping society it's been a bust.
