Really, who cares what she said? The inability to come right out and say "I was wrong" is such a strong reminder of Bush...

So the "white vote" will swing into line for Obama on Hillary's command? I think not.

Obama *should* offer the VP slot to Clinton.
Bill Clinton.
Hillary? Not so much. She brings all the Clinton negatives, has attacked him relentlessly, and has not shown much in the way of willingness to subvert her own interests to those of the greater good.
As for the Clinton supporters who won't vote for Obama, where do the demands end? Either you'll support the nominee or you won't.
These aren't the droids we're looking for. Move along.

Isn't doing anything to win the quality Clinton supporters admire in their candidate? Hence it's OK for pledged delegates to switch allegiance, it's OK to elevate the GOP candidate over the Democratic rival?
Why, then, even if it is "running out the clock", is that a negative for Obama?

For those who think it's ok to win by any means necessary, when does that tactic go into hibernation? And what does "win" mean?
If Clinton becomes president, how many promises will she jettison to "win" passage of some pet legislation? How many more US deaths in Iraq so that she can maintain the "tough" posture and "win" a public relations battle?
