This is great! I too have been working for the Obama campaign in one of the reddest counties in the nation: El Paso County (Colorado Springs). 80% of my work colleagues are die-hard Repugs and listen to Brush Lintball 15 hours a week. I keep working on them in subtle ways. Getting my digs in. For example explaining the truth about ACORN so-called voter fraud is actually the opposite (voter suppression). And that no, the credit crisis is not because Clinton enabled poor people to buy houses they couldn't afford. Etc. The ignorance is astounding.

You must be unconscious. We have had four straight elections with serious voter suppression and every dirty trick and probably out and out criminality with voting machines.
Last night's Democracy Now had Greg Palast and RFK, Jr talking about the massive voter suppression underway in this election.

Jane, I'd like to also thank you for the book. I urge it on all my conservative friends. There is no way for anyone to defend the actions of the Bush after reading your book. You lay out the case for prosecution in clear and unambiguous terms.

Can Bush pardon himself before he leaves office and with no charges yet brought against him? There is a candidate for AG in Vermont who says they are going to bring Bush to trial for murder with special assistant to the prosecutor, Vince Bugliosi, author of "The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder." It's a compelling case.

As for her favorite authors I too liked George Sheehan, physician and runner, but he hasn't written anything in years. (He died about ten years ago.) His books are all out of print. She likes C. S. Lewis because he is a Christianist. I doubt she has read him since high school. Is that all she can come up with?

McCain absolutely has to derail the VP debate at all costs. Palin hasn't memorized the talking points yet. Man is she a ditzy broad.

She is bush-level “incurious,” and that the moose in her room is “inexperience.”

She has a thing about "keeping her eye" on countries. I keep noticing something annoyingly repetitive about her interviews. "Ruffle some people's feathers" "Thanks, but no thanks". And then when she ventures past these memorized lines she can't even make a coherent sentence. Ditzy. She is worse than Bush!!

Very timely that next week's TPMCafe book is "The Dark Side" by Jane Mayer. That book lays out a devastating case that the ones on trial should be the Bush Administration.
