• "October 2008. Obama campaign accepts Bill Clinton's offer to campaign for Obama-Webb, sends him to places even more obscure than those Hillary sent him to in spring."

In this sick and sinister world, laughter is good like medicine ... thank you!

  • Quagmire ... there IS no winning ... only a choice that needs to be made. The only choice we have is how much money we're willing to shovel six-feet-under only to see it come back to bite us one way or another, just like Afghanistan, Columbia, El Salvadore, etc.

New rule ... (with apologies to Bill Maher) ... if we're going to kill ourselves, let's do it quickly so we produce fewer grandchildren who will suffer horrendously for our inexcusable errors. This slow drain of blood and wealth will hurt them much much more than it hurts us. When China calls our war-debt due and creates drought over America to force us into subservience, we'll start to see the agony Bush et al (and the self-centered war mongering citiznes who enabled him) visited upon our progeny.

God bless America? Yeah. God will.

  • Dammit ... an untimely unneccessary death used for political fodder without "vetting" it is NOT the issue. An allegation like that should trigger a full-blown investingation and her staff should know that. As purported health advocates, they failed miserably on this. And since she touts her health care package as cornerstone to her experience ... this DOES matter. The carelessness borders on incompetence and cynicism. Any legal staff on her campaign KNOW to ask for whatever investigations were being conducted ... and they KNOW how to vet stories. She ran with this story like a child running with scissors.

This was Hillary's domestic *red phone* moment and she failed it.

And don't she DARE say it's due to lack of sleep ... if it's gotten too hot, then get out of the kitchen, MissyPantsOnFire.

  • Oh my memoryaid ... I'll admit it. I find it easy, so easy, to look at Obama.

But my OMatrix tendencies are partially due to sleep deprivation. So pls do forgive me. I have resisted sleeping ever since catching glimpses of the empress without her clothes.

  • "REGULAR" ... as in, well, we're so much better than them but we'll "speak to" them anyway. Will we also listen ... well, that depends on what they're askin',now, doesn't it. Can't have them askin' any ir-regular questions!!

Posted at April 6, 2008 3:48 AM in response to Clinton Aide: Smaller Crowds are "Regular People"

  • A health advocate would have had this investigated post haste ... their "investigation" shows where they heart truly lies. (Pardon the pun.)

When a public official is informed of an egregious situation, he/she has responsibility to investigate adequately. Not to simply "vet" the story politically! Sheesh! No! When Hillary and her staff were told of this situation, they should have used their powers to fully investigate ... in order to address the alleged violation, thereby protecting patients from future harm. They were presented with an egregious systemic situation and should have brought to bear the full color of the law against it. How dare they even bring the story to the public without also, at the same time, showing that these things will be dealt with swiftly and efficiently for our protection.

A domestic *red phone* moment and she failed the test.

  • It's mindboggling to try to come up with a political model that could fit this.

I guess the name for that system ends in -ocracy because there's some kind of rule involved... Can somebody ... come up with an appropriate name? In a nutshell, the concept is rule by the one who is chosen by those who are elected not to represent those who elected them. I'd prefer to squeeze this into four syllables or less because we may have to say it a lot.

I don’t know, but it seems to be a unique machination of one particular woman’s campaign so maybe “hillocracy”?

And for those who don't support her, this kind of thing doesn't come off as looking like a legitimate strategy, but as evidence of a sort of schizophrenia.

Okay, well, now that you put it that way, maybe “phrenocracy”.

Or would that be a “hillprhenocracy” ...

Whatever. Clearly it’s hair past a freckle, which means it is time for me to head back down the rabbit hole, Alice..

    WE ARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ummm ... pledged delegates sent by their local parties to vote the candidate they pledged to vote for ... are so easily swayed, in numbers large enough to turn the outcome?

At this late stage of the game, what could the opposition candidate offer that would be powerful enough to change a pledged candidate's mind ...

    Errr ... on second thought ... ... ...
