  • If you can't see the difference between some jackasses making fun if the way she laughs for a couple of days versus constant questioning of his patriotism and the underlining racial bias that was exhibited far too frequently then I don't believe you are even worth wasting my time on.

This is a man who is putting his very life on the line day in and day out, perhaps more than any other candidate has had to worry about in recent history, shouldn't have been subjected to any of that which only fed the misguided belief that he is some covert Muslim trying to take over from the inside in the minds of certain people, trust me, I am living in the south right know; I know some of these people.

  • Do you honestly think Hillary was vetted in any way what-so-ever? Like I said, they weren't super nice to her but they gave her a total pass on everything that mattered. She was never second guessed, she was never seriously questioned about anything and the only scandal she had to endure was Bosnia-gate, as opposed to Obama who had to deal with Wright, patriotism, flag pins, bitter voters and a whole host of other completely ridiculous "scandals" that have nothing to do with anything. The media was more harsh on Obama than Clinton, they may have been nicer to him, but they were certainly more tough on him than her.

  • Oh yeah, the media was so unfair to Hillary--give me a break.

She became a professional victim. Her campaign survived as long as it did because of the press, period. Imagine if Clinton had won those 12 in a row after Super Tuesday; she would have personally been calling for Obama to get out.

The media wasn't super nice to her, but they gave her a free pass on everything that mattered and treated her like a queen until November of 2007 or so.

McCain has always been their darling though. It's disgusting.

  • Meh.. I don't think this is a good idea at all.

The right wing bloggers would have a field day with this one; "What? The Pepsi Center isn't big enough for his ego?"

Yeah just no good, but I've been wrong before.

  • I admire Baracks ability to play the political game and do what needs to be done to win--I understand that, and he has not sunk to personal lows to do it. He has just been smart and practical about things.

I guess my beef is this; if you are 15 points up why concede this to McCain when Clark was clearly not insulting McCains service? Gen Clark simply stating the truth that that alone does not qualify one to be commander in chief.

No one can doubt Gen. Clarks integrity and no one questions his admirable service to this country and the Obama campaign should not have been so week on this. They could have even released the same statement I suppose if they had tacked on some praise for Clark and his service and use that as an explanation of why Clark was not trying to be insulting. Why only praise McCains? It's not as though General Clark is just some guy, and that's the impression that I fear many will get as the MSM is ridiculously terrible and people in general just aren't very bright.

It's just pretty clear at this point that the Obama campaign is letting McCain control the message and the debate, they are trying to paint Obama in a certain light and he is continually embracing it, making it all the more easy for the McCain camp to continue what they're doing. I just don't want Obama to end up like Kerry once election day comes around; I guess I'll vote for him because the alternative is completely unacceptable.

On the other hand, if they had reacted differently the McCain camp could have driven this further in yet another attempt to pin Obama as un-patriotic and as someone who doesn't respect the troops.. which is why I suspect they reacted the way they did.

I understand why all of this is happening, I just don't like it and we can't keep letting McCain control the table.. we simply can't.

  • As much as I grew to totally disdain Hillary Clinton I can't help but think we wouldn't be in this position if she were the nominee because she wouldn't allow it.

Maybe Bill Clinton is right; Obama can't win. Every time he caves and wusses out it does nothing but provide McCain with an opportunity to call his beliefs and his character into question. Let's let McCain do that, and let's let McCain run a schoolyard taunt campaign full of misinformation and we'll just put our head down and sob like the pussy Democrats we are.

It's pathetic and I am shocked by just how angry I have become with the man I traveled the country for.

  • I don't believe Clark would over-shadow Obama.. I think it will make people more comfortable with him more than anything. I would hate for this to damage Clark, how terrible would that be? The media goes on and on about Clark swift-boating McCain while they are in the process of swift-boating Clark; it's really priceless.

I can't believe how recklessly the MSM is "reporting" this story.

Wexler would be rather interesting. He's too proud to be a liberal though.
