Respecting Clinton's Voters
I must say the only thing that I felt was missing from Senator Clinton's terrific speech on Saturday was some acknowledgment that she and her supporters hadn't been cheated or disrespected somehow. I thought she covered all of the other...more »

Hey Bob, do you think McCain also pushed that pedestrian on the front of your car this morning in DC? Is that why you tried to take off after hitting a man; because it was just a McCain campaign tactic?

Huffingtonpost is up in terms of Total Page Views but this is not a fair comparison since the Drudge domain typically has one page or maybe two on it while Huffingtonpost is a deep site with many pages to be viewed.
If you look compare the data based on Reach, then Drudge is clearly way ahead of Huffingtonpost.

But Greg, the more direct line here is that this fits directly into the MSM's desire to keep this race going and to remain tight for as long as possible.
TPM is covering this Maliki story very well and calling the media out on their failures here so don't make this about something that it's not (i.e. Drudge).

The comments on that article are just insane! The writer states that there were more than 200 requests and only 40 seats but she did such a good job of jumping to the conclusion that is must be payback that nobody on the thread even questions whether this was payback or not.
Unbelievably terrible "reporting"!

About the "Obama Pulled In $25 Million In One Day" section, do any of you think that it is possible that Obama's camp did in fact leak the $30 million for June number to the Times just to spark some end fo the month donations?
I don't recall the exact time table but it's certainly interesting. I think if they did do it then it shows some very smart use of the news and internet in tandem.

I do think that the demo helps Obama in Virginia more than most models can participate. For example Virginia is almost 20% African American while Indiana is about 9% and Missouri is 11%.
Having grown up here in Virginia and lived in several parts of the state, I believe that the AA vote hasn't been motivated here to vote in large numbers except for Doug Wilder's election as Governor here and I believe that this voting block will not be represented well in polls but will show up strong in November.
Also, over the last 8 years the population has exploded in northern Virginia with a lot of typical DC residents moving to the suburbs to raise their families and a large share of these people are solid Dems.
The Obama campaign in Virginia is kicking off office opening parties at all 20 offices in the state tomorrow morning. Let's go Virginia!
