  • "He is a GOP operative running the AP Washington bureau."

    Spot-on.

How many more positions of editorial authority were (are) owned by the neocons in the Republican party?

    Let me count the ways...

This is one of the veritable crucibles of deceit, that these enablers of "The Big Lie" are salted and peppered throughout the MSM, and their influence was one of the primary reasons that Cheney and Bush managed to mislead the American public.

They destroyed any semblence of a 4th Estate, and helped perpetrate and perpetuate one of the biggest deceptions in the history of journalism.

Now that the public has been shaken by reality into a slow but clarifying awakening, their names will be revealed. This is just the tip of an historic iceberg of journalistic malfeasance and complicity.

  • LOL at Yosemite Sam, are we watching his little brother Yosemite Johnny?

When Johnny finally blows his top for all the world to see, someone needs to turn the video into a Yosemite Johnny parody, sounds like the kind of fit he threw in Viet Nam when he threatened them there with "repurcussions" if his Songbird tapes are ever released...

  • The wingnut media isn't just on talk radio, they are salted and peppered throughout the entire system, and we will see them identify themsleves with this kind of trash, throughout this historic season of lies.

Obama is being held to a standard that, if applied to someone like Bush or McCain, would become an endless wheel of karmic trash illuminating their constant drumbeat of gaffes, mistakes and doofusisms.

We will see this often between now and November. Obama's minor gaffes and even some of his best qualities have been and will be framed as egregious faults, with a spin so wicked, anyone with a clear mind will reel at the obvious decepition.

But, considering that there's a huge collection of mud-brained wingnuts out there, to whom clear thinking is not only impossible, it is actually anathema, we can expect this pattern to repeat itself at every turn of the page.

Wasn't it Orwell who warned us that, one day, good will be evil and vice-versa, in the doublespeak realm. Here we see it manifested in our own compliant media.

  • "...if we find Rove guilty of anything while Bush is in office, you know he'll pardon the asshole. Maybe we're better off to wait until Bush can't do that, then go after the criminals. Just a thought."

And a wise one at that...

The Bush/Cheney machne has already assured the telecom execs that they will all be provided a get-out-of-jail-free card if they get busted by the 110th, and with Scooter Libby under his belt, is there really any doubt Bush would pardon Rove toot-sweet? And everyone else who took part in the biggest lie(s) in US history?

Pelosi, Obama, ALL of them know this, and they are wisely waiting for the 111th and a new President to be in office before they take on these creeps. Because there is absolutely NO DOUBT that as long as the Creep in Chief has pardon power, anything "we, the people" might do to bring them to justice will be futile.

Cheney in particular is likely pondering a quiet retirement lounging in the sun on some Dubai palm frond, safe from the 111th and the World Court.

Won't it be ironic if his global warming deceptions contribute to a polar meltdown that will flood his man-made island...

  • Or Obama could remind everyone we had a lot more real hope before 9/11, and the Bush administration's Iraq-war response that disaster hasn't shattered any remnant that hope?

And maybe we need to renew the pre-9/11 disposition, that is the best way to overcome our grief and mourning?

Health and Human Services - Dr. Howard Dean

    U.S. Trade representative - Sebelius

I am just trying to provoke some discussion here about potential, not any certitudes. Which is why this list is incomplete, becasue I don't pretend to have an opinion about everything I know so little about (regardless of what some of you may think) and I know I have Sebelius sprinkled throughout, but she is one of the most versatile characers in this mix, so she fits quite well at more than one position.

It would be great to see a poll like this on Obama's website, and on the DNC site, to see how his supporters feel about the options... plus i need to research what party holds the Governor's post in the states where some of these people come from,

Now there's some open source governance, doncha know...
