  • If Democrats do not win the White House this year, there will be not the slightest doubt about who is responsible for a defeat that should not have happened. It won't matter whether Hillary or Obama is the candidate losing to McCain. Hillary will deserve all the credit for engineering the loss.

Oh Christ! It's starting already. Obama's loss is Clinton's fault, right?

    You guys are priceless.

  • Les Ismore...it was good to see at least one intelligent post on another one of the "LOOK AT MEEEEE" threads from bionic boy. It'll make no difference though.

There's a surprisingly large number of full-of-themselves posters that don't mind losing 100 votes for Barry every time they post. Ankle biters like bb or liam or connie manes or fill in the blank...to all of them I'd say enjoy the kegger you have for Barry's concession speech in Nov. You helped make it real.

  • Obama has been making this point, albeit with more statesman like language, since before the invasion.

What are his votes on war funding since he got to Congress?

  • she has tossed the Black vote under the bus? She's turned a major voting block against her.

I think we have the Obama campaign to thank for that.

"Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign has prepared a detailed memo listing various instances in which it perceived Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign to have deliberately played the race card in the Democratic primary. [See the full memo here.]

The memo, which was obtained by the Huffington Post and has been made public elsewhere, is believed to have been given to an activist and contains mostly excerpts from different media reports. It lists the contact info and name of Obama's South Carolina press secretary, Amaya Smith, and is broken down into five incidents in which either Clinton, her husband Bill, or campaign surrogates made comments that could be interpreted as racially insensitive.

The document provides an indication that, in private, the Obama campaign is seeking to capitalize on the view - and push the narrative - that the Clintons are using race-related issues for political leverage. In public, the Obama campaign has denied that they are trying to propagate such a perception, noting that the document never was sent to the press."

  • Obama's support among white voters is similar to that of John Kerry's in 2004

How'd that turn out back then?

  • It's called "doin' the math" and it don't look so good at the moment.

Posted at May 9, 2008 9:58 PM in response to We need to win one more state. Which one'll it be?

  • "Frankly, I suspect that Clinton can’t beat him either, but there’s no way that Obama will carry most of the states in November that he’s won in the primaries and caucuses. And, while it makes some liberals feel good to think that a majority of the American electorate could vote for a black Presidential candidate, we should keep in mind that the Republicans haven’t let one dog out of the kennel against him yet. The Jeremiah Wright contretemps is only thefirst bark."

It's a good thing that all of the 'favorables' are lined up for the Democrats this year but it's not going to be like running against Alan Keyes in your home state.

  • Until then, she seems to be hoping for an October Surprise.

The nominee will be chosen in August but...you're an Obama supplicant so I understand. The ballots will be set by October so there's nothing for her in an October surprise. So why post such nonsense unless you want to drive Clinton voters away?

Don't worry. You already did that a looong time ago. Think SC.

Enjoy the Aug celebration/Nov concession speech. I'm certain you'll be able to blame it on Clinton rather than yourself. Barry's taught you how to blame it on somebody else.

Enjoy being a loser when you should have won. You've earned it.
