Does anyone think that the proposed 'surge' in troop levels in Iraq maybe an attempt to build up troops in preparation for an attack on Iran instead?
Scott Ritter and Seymour Hersh were on Democracy Now! this morning and seemed convinced that we are on the path to war with Iran.
Building up troop levels in Iraq may be a disguised attempt to deploy a portion of the troops needed for an attack on Iran.

I agree with Cville Dem's observation:
How do you draw the connection between Chaffee's letter to Rice and Chaffee's objection to Bolton?
There has to be some additional information out there to enable one to reach such a conclusion. Where is it?

Where was the secret service during all of this?
What if the shooting had been the other way around? ie. What if Whittington had shot Cheney?
Wouldn't the secret service have had to be on hand to have prevented that? If so, did they file a report? Could they have prevented this incident entirely? Or were they not present?
Is that even possible?
Isn't it also reckless to let Cheney out unprotected with people carrying guns, even if they are his friends?

The indictment lists specific illegal actions taken by Colyandro and Ellis but nothing specific on Delay.
Was Delay just indicted by association?
Will this really stick?
Is there another document which describes illegal activities by Delay in this matter?

Why is the Who's Who entry significant?
It doesn't state that Valerie Plame was an undercover CIA agent.
It was no secret that Valerie Plame was Joe Wilson's wife. The secret was her CIA status.
So why all the interest in Who's Who? It seems to be off track.Posted at August 5, 2005 2:13 PM in response to Carville Speaks
