"Yesterday was the day the 'change' bubble burst."
When I read a blog about Obama's speech to AIPAC yesterday, I couldn't quite believe what I was looking at: “Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel and it must remain undivided.”It seemed about the stupidest thing he could have...more »

Believe what you want. It won't restore your faith in Obama.

"Obama gives the American people way too much credit especially when the media is complicit in it's dumbing down."
Giving credit to the American people is risky business. The sub-prime mortgage crisis and credit card debt are but two examples.
But what can we expect when we're looking at the dumbing down of a population as dumb as that of America?

liam: "Without attracting moderates, Democrats always end up losing the White House. What is your point. Are you claiming that Obama can win without appealing to moderates and Independents?"

"This is the quasi-Leninist idea that things have to get much worse before they ever get any better."
I didn't realise I was a quasi-Leninist. How cool. Labels aside, and any hope I had in Obama now either aside or increasingly irrelevant, I'm looking forward not to U.S. politics to change much of anything, but a big fat world-wide economic depression of magnitude.
I would have much preferred something less painful, but less painful appears to be no longer on the political menu. Bring on the pain.
