Obama's Speech Wasn't About Race. It was about class, nation and covenant.
Well, yes it was, of course. And it was an amazingly forthright, profound and poetic speech, the kind of speech you might have expected from, say, Toni Morrison, when she won her Nobel Prize. But plenty of other people around...more »

Does Wright Have Legs?
As a long-standing Obama supporter, I am concerned about the Wright dust-up, politically, of course, but also personally. This is an issue that could really hurt Obama. Indeed, I think it may be the biggest challenge that he has dealt...more »

And the Winner is....John McCain
I am so depressed about this outcome. The more I think about this, the more I realize that the big winner last night was John McCain. HRC came back by going negative. She will stick with that, doing the GOP's work,...more »

Another Hillary supporter who can't count? It would take a miracle for HRC to get the pledged delegate gap under 100. 20-25? That would take the proverbial grizzly bear attack.

Don't forget about Bill!
As most people in political and journalistic circles are well aware, Bill's zipper problems didn't end in 2000. He has another mistress. And sowed lots of wild oats in Southern California.
Why hasn't this come out? Two reasons. Liberals in the media don't want to open the Pandora's box. And conservatives want to save its contents for the fall.
Hillary supporters may regard this all as "unfair." But they are the ones who have been talking about who is "vetted" and "electable."
And in doing so, THEY opened the box.Posted at April 27, 2008 9:22 AM in response to Hillary had sex too

I am SO not buying Fowler's claims to be an Obama supporter. Has anyone read her stuff at HuffPost? She's been one of the few pro-Hillary voices over there since March. She broke this story for one reason and one reason only: to hurt Obama and help Clinton. In the end, this dust-up is going to hurt both of them. It will convince some people that Obama is an urban elitist. And Hillary's Annie Oakley routine will convince others that she is a say-anything-do-anything hypocrite. Thanks Mayhill! Good work!

This seems like a very equitable solution, actually. Truth is, HRC would probably beat Obama in FL again. Not by 20 points, mind you, but probably by 10, leading to a delegate allocation not unlike the proposal. Plus, you'd save the cost, difficulty and potential chaos of a new primary.

The majority yes. But it has to be more than just a majority. Elections are won and lost at the margins.

Wish I could finger your IP. Probably buried somewhere deep in Clinton campaign headquarters in Columbus, OH.
Just a week ago, the Big Dog himself said HRC had to win both TX and OH. A couple weeks ago, people said she had to win both by big margins. (Which she does, if she wants to close the delegate gap.)
Now, Obama has to sweep? Please. Clearly, HRC is the one who's in a do-or-die situation here.
