  • Or maybe I should say best propogandists, although she's not so subtle so maybe she is a bad propogandist. Whatever, you get what I'm saying.

Any time I read something egregiously propogandistic and pro Bush in the NYT I say "It must be a Bumiller piece", then I look at the byline and sure enough I'm never wrong.

  • And it also had a pretty small sample size of about 500. IOW, this poll is BS. Surprise, surprise.

  • Thanks! Exactly the data I was referring to in my post #21. I was hoping someone more ambitious than myself would post it, since I was too lazy to look it up! Good work! Sort of makes the original post look pretty stupid, doesn't it?

  • The data says otherwise. It seems the Red States (Welfare States) suck up most of the Federal Tax dollars that are disproportionately produced by the urban areas in BLUE states. Who are the parasites again?

  • "Are you out of your effin gourd? You've got to be friggin' kidding me!"

Who's the attorney? Lionel Hutz? I mean to argue that it doesn't count because it was a check and not cash has to be one of the stupidest Defenses I've ever heard.

  • It's not a question of whether he's bad enough to fillibuster (he may or may not be). It's a question of whether or not the Senate can make an informed enough decision. If the WH does not cooperate and turn over the documents needed to make an informed decision, then Dems should fillibuster. They're withholding his tax returns for crying out loud!

Now, I'm practical enough to know this won't happen, the Dems will probably just vote against him (I hope!) and not fillibuster and that's too bad. The WH will continue to do whatever the fuck they want and continue to withhold any and all information from the Senate that they damn well feel like.

At this point I'm of the opinion the Dems should just shut down the Senate and fillibuster everything. The WH is out of control, drunk w/ power doing whatever the hell they want and not cooperating in the least.  They are audaciously antagonizing the Dems at every opportunity. The Dems really don't have much to lose at this point.

  • Testifying before the GJ during his confirmation. I'm getting the feeling those NSA intercepts the Admin. was withholding that Bolton had requested were where the info on Plame came from.

NSA intercepts to Bolton to Rove/Libby/Fleischer to Novak et al.  Prosecutors just love a nice, neat little chain of possession like that.

  • And it goes something like this:

Bolton gets info on Plame from the interecepts, info goes to Rove/Libby/Fleischer via the infamous memo, info goes to Novak et al.

If Fitz has access to those intercepts he can trace the chain of possession of that intel down the line.

  • the Senate about his involvment in this legal issue, his testifying leads me to believe (admittedly w/out much evidence at this point, just sneaking suspicion) he's also up to his eyeballs in the whole Plame affair. After all, he was requesting all sorts of classified documents, wasn't he?  Makes you wonder if the Dems in the Senate were going after this stuff so hard during his confirmation because they already had an inkling what was in them, like, maybe info on Plame, info that eventually found it's way Rove, Libby, Novak et al.

  • w/ regard to SS.  UPSS should be a permanent operation that never lets up so we NEVER get to this point again.
