Jordan's King Says Israel-Hezbollah-Lebanon War May Be "Imminent"
Congressman Adam Schiff hosted a "Members Only" meeting of the 'Congressional Friends of Jordan Caucus' in the US House of Representatives this morning in the CVC Congressional Meeting Room with Jordan's King Abdullah II.
According to one attendee in the session, "the King's message was sobering." King Abdullah seemed significantly concerned that conflict was about to break out again between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
One congressional source told me that the word the King used was 'imminent' with regard to the potential outbreak of war.
On many levels, this is extremely worrisome. Hezbollah is now integrated into Lebanon's parliament and interacting with countries like France at all levels of government. An Israeli-Lebanon War could preempt the normalization track the United States is pursuing with Syria.
There are reports today about American concerns of Syrian supply of SCUD missiles to Hezbollah and/or training to Hezbollah personnel on SCUDs.
Tomorrow (Thursday), I will be attending the Syria National Day reception at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington where last year I saw many senior State Department officials, CNN's Wolf Blitzer, and several Congressmen.
Hopefully, America's renewed engagement with Syria will not be knocked off track -- but there is no doubt that King Abdullah's warning to Members of Congress is stirring much concern.

Exactly. A stable Middle East is the last thing on earth that Israel's leaders want. It's war, war, war! The more war, the more they need to "defend" themselves by stealing other people's land. Period.

That's a real howler, more crap to try to stick on the wall--after the phony Syrian nuclear reactor raid that was revealed to be pure bunk.
Get your story straight, Israel--are Hizballah pawns of Iran or Syria? How can they be both?
Seeing MJ's post above, I can foresee Frank Gaffney's eagerness to partake in ringing up some phony causus belli--aluminum tubes, anyone?

I just hope the U.S. falls on the side of those who are really being massacred and disenfranchised and it isn't the Israelis that is for sure. The apartheid they are inflicting on the Palestinians is disgusting, especially considering their past. They have turned into their own aggressors, Nazis.

peace will never be found as long as israel lords over the third-world middle east. if i were a country neighboring israel, i'd be in cahoots with everyone else in bringing them down, ie, the world's largest glass parking lot. if i were a country neighboring israel, i'd also want as much weaponry as israel has. israel is full of hypocrites, all the time screaming 'anti-Semite' while at the same time playing out the role of Nazi aggressors all over the region. what happened to the third reich? does anyone know? you should know, it's been jammed down your throat for decades. the world ganged up on hitler and brought his empire down. how much longer do you think the world is going to sit by and watch israel act like a Nazi Nation? by way of deception they do war...EVERYWHERE! by the way they talk you'd think EVERYONE in the world is out to get them. guess what? they might be right (finally)! israel has no one to blame but themselves, the deceptive squatters. too many lies, too much BS, too much hypocrisy, not much to believe in.
