I, and my family, going back many generations, are Ashkenazi Jews who would be deeply ashamed to be associated in any way with the brutality that killed so many innocent civilians in Lebanon and Gaza – not by accident but by design. Or to be associated with the political corruption that is sadly endemic in the Israeli state.

It is, perhaps, unsurprising that there is, in the US, a conflation between Jewish interests and Israeli interests – which are, in fact, entirely separate issues, other than in minority AIPAC circles where they are held deliberately, but incorrectly and confusingly, to be the same. That is the agenda.
