Whining Limbaugh

user-pic

Progressives are always asking the question "Is Obama tough enough?" To listen to Rush Limbaugh, you would think that the White House political organization is so tough Limbaugh is in danger of being packed off to a Gulag in Northern Alaska with his buddy Glenn Beck

And these guys in the Obama administration... Look, folks, Alinsky Rules for Radicals: When faced with an opponent, get rid of the opponent. You don't debate the opponent. You don't consider the opponent's ideas. You say, "I won. Screw you. Get out of the way, and whatever I have to do to get you out of the way is right." It's happening right before our very eyes...But this is how these people operate! There won't be an opposition by the time they get through.

When the schoolyard bullies like Limbaugh and Beck start whining to the teacher, you know that Axelrod and Company are doing something right. The exquisite irony in hearing Limbaugh whine that Obama will not "consider the opponent's ideas", as if Limbaugh ever gave a moment's consideration of his opponents ideas. As Vandehei and Allen point out this morning, Limbaugh and the Brownshirts are an anchor around the neck of the Republican Party.
Many top Republicans are growing worried that the party's chances for reversing its electoral routs of 2006 and 2008 are being wounded by the flamboyant rhetoric and angry tone of conservative activists and media personalities, according to interviews with GOP officials and operatives.

The Washington Post poll was very clear. The Republicans are now defined as the far right party and it scares the bejesus out of most independents.

Whining has become the backround sound track for most on the internet blogs. Government has become a money laundry service for the "People's Republic of Obaama". Stoping individuals to invest and improve there lives is Maoism at work. What is next Jon? I expect a Famine thanks to "Save the pond smelt" in the farms lands.

user-pic

And also they want to take our guns.

user-pic

They will take it from my dead fingers

user-pic

Ya know I've heard that too. Know what you, and all others who feel like you, should do? Buy as many guns, food and water that you can. Then build big fortified shelters in the side of mountains, maybe in the Rockies but preferable Alaska...barricade the entrances and stay there for the next 7 1/2 years. At that point it'll be safe to come out. I guarantee if you do that they will not get you or your guns. God speed o' true patriot, see you in 2016...

Somebody made a lot of money on the false claim that Obama was gonna outlaw ammo.

If someone started a rumor that Obama was going to outlaw oxygen, the Wingnuts would probably start buying SCUBA tanks.

Have I stumbled upon a money maker?

user-pic

I miss the Axis of Evil Days, George W. Bush and Republicans dissing French Fires and leading this country into one disaster after another.

It was more exciting starting wars then trying to end them.

I miss waking up to hear of things changin' after 9-11, hydroelectric powered drive in caves in Tora Bora, helicopters shot down, donkeys with rocket launchers, Iraqi munitions dumps left unguarded, explosions, tough Bring 'em On talk, beheadings and collateral damage, Bremer Walls, talk of mushroom clouds and drones of death, firing whole Armies and protecting Oil Ministries, forecasts that big taxcuts for the rich would balance the budget, terror scares before elections, anthrax in the mail, spider holes in Iraq and loopholes on Wall Street, reassurances that our economy is sound, Mission Accomplished banners and wars that pay for themselves, rape, pillage, murder, torture, Total Information Awareness and wiretaps, protectin' stem cells and brain dead women, cuttin' brush in Crawford, spreadin' freedom with enhanced interrogation, forgettin' bin Laden, and more and more.....all brought to you by God's Own Party.

If obama lamma ding dong could finish it. In my opinion he is to big of a coward. He will continue to blame the previous administration through out his entire four year sleep over in the white house. The American people are catching on that he has no clue whats going on. All he knows how to do is apoligize to other countries.

user-pic

And why might he need to do that?

user-pic

Luvyourself, when are Bush supporters like you going to apologize for voting the incompetent lying scumbag into office?

user-pic

Yes Noble. It does kinda make one a little misty eyed. Oh for the good ol' days.

user-pic

This is America, buddy, and Barack Obama is President.

I suggest that if you don't love it, you leave it.

How do you like it, dirtbag?

user-pic

TOG: I guess your screen name isn't ironic!

BTW, when you respond to hawaiian, how do you know you aren't responding to AnnaA?

user-pic

I respect the position not the man. He is a lame duck and at least with republicans you know what expect.

user-pic

Disasters!

user-pic

..and lies, death, body bags, deficits, collateral damage, scare mongering, torture, no bid contracts, cronyism, endless wars, etc etc

user-pic

And don't forget the incompetence. That's important.

user-pic

Oy.

user-pic

Limbaugh is a student of P.T.Barnum - he knows the old adage "no one every went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public" - if fact I think that is the motto of the Republican party.

mythbuster:

"BTW, when you respond to hawaiian, how do you know you aren't responding to AnnaA?"

The origianl post...

How do you like it, dirtbag?

-------------------------------------

That statement is completely applicable to all the Republican, right-wingers in general.

You must have lived life in a bag if you don't know how the Republican Reich-wing treated lawful dissent during the eight years of the Bush administration.

user-pic

What are you talking about?

I post all the time. Your critique makes no sense.

user-pic

First of all, thank you TPM for being so open to the opinions of all, some like the Huffington "Darlinks" will not post if you are not spuing the party line.
Hay, I did leave the country, I moved to Hawaii in '05. I left So Cal. after my neighborhood when so far down hill, on of the Keneddy cousions moved in and was elected to the city councel.

user-pic

You do know that you moved to a Socialist paradise, don't you?

They appear to have had health care since at least 1993 according to a discussion at the time:

"A public health expert from Hawaii took his turn in utter exasperation: "We've already run the experiment and come up with the solution! All you have to do is see what we did and copy it!" In short, what Hawaii did was cover nearly everyone, funded by a modest hike in the payroll tax. The last I knew, they offered all people of working age three major options: an HMO for little or nothing aside from the payroll tax, a fee for service plan with very modest premiums, and a version of Medicaid for those who would otherwise fall through the crack. Hawaii would put the private plans up for bid every couple of years, with intense competition for price and quality.

Oh yeah, Hawaii covered nearly everyone for substantially less per person than on the mainland where we don't cover 10s of millions. Cheaper insurance, better quality, everyone's covered, and all within the free market. It seems like a Blue Dog dream.

I've heard it argued that for various reasons, Hawaii has a healthier population, but still! Why the media blackout?

Who knows why Hawaii, with a relatively comprehensive solution and intense regulation has Medicare costs that are only 63% of the national average? "

From Alegre's corner.

user-pic

And you are dimwitted enough to fail to realize that Hawaii is in fact a state.

Epic fail.

user-pic

Maybe Hawaii seceeded and didn't tell anybody. That's why Obama isn't REALLY the President!

user-pic

Hawaii's only been a state for the past 50 years.
You have to be patient with wingnuts.
They need time to absorb the fast-paced whirl of events.

user-pic

(shrug) It's just the typical "obambi" whining, from the Clinton supporters carried down to the present day (just like birtherism was, as well).

So many claiming to be on our side will never like Obama. Just get used to it, and it will fade into nothing more than a slightly-annoying background hum.
