Rotwang Ruminates (1)
Because writing full posts is tedious.
I'd be willing to serve in the Obama Administration, but unfortunately I've paid all my taxes.
I would be delighted to offer my services to anyone striving to reduce their income to $249,999. It is not too complicated. Step one. Calculate your income. Step two. Subtract $249,999. Step three. Send me the difference. I will send you an invoice for consulting services. Your payment will be deductible as a Schedule C business expense, and you will be safe from Obamian Socialism. Cash only, no checks please. You're welcome!
How to kill a zombie: shoot it in the head. How to kill a zombie bank . . .
The most important new tradition of the Internets is Sockington on twitter.com.
If we are known by our enemies, Rush Limbaugh assures the political future of the Obama Administration.
Even I find Keith Olbermann overwrought. But Rachel Maddow is brilliant.
Should we start a pool on how long Michael Steele will be RNC head?

Is Keith overwrought or overweight!!!Hahahahaha
Keith was there standing up to the new totalitarianism when there was no one else on cable or anywhere except the web and I could not get on the web.
He and Rachel are the best.

Dick & oleeb -- Keith is all right. I watch him regularly. But he's still overwrought. I think Rachel hits just the right tone.
Resistance -- you must have heard a poor man never gave another man a job.
destor23 -- you want to mess up the whole economy just as President Obama is fixing everything? By the way, I could use that coat right now.
ARG -- shoot it in the head of course. A tire iron works too.
Yva -- call me.

Rachel has just the right tone. An ironic sense of the absurd, and a jocular sense of humor. I can say jocular, right?
Rachel keeps Pat Buchanan in line while amusing him. That in itself is a freakin' gift.

Oh, and as far as Keith goes....any Cornell man is a man o' mine.

But Sir I am poorer. Together we could share in your new found financial endeavor. You bring the bottle and we'll both celebrate.
For I am in fear that the writings of blogger Shooter, may have found lodging in your heart.
It may be true you have heard a poor man never gave another man a job.
Remember (Luke 21:1-4) 21 Now as he looked up he saw the rich dropping their gifts into the treasury chests. 2 Then he saw a certain needy widow drop two small coins of very little value there, 3 and he said: “I tell YOU truthfully, This widow, although poor, dropped in more than they all did. 4 For all these dropped in gifts out of their surplus, but this [woman] out of her want dropped in all the means of living she had.”

Next time Citi & Bank of America come knocking....
Call an experienced hand.
Best to wait 'til they creep into Silly Mid-On range.

Is Michael Steele still the head of the Repub party? I thought he accepted a position at the feet of Rush Limburger.

He took a positon, alright.
Rotwang, are you hiring?

Gingrey, Pence and Sanford are already gainfully employed at Lush Limpbaugh's feet.
Perhaps Steele applied for a higher position...

Dear Professor Rotwang,
If your consultation business does well, I have a proposition for you... Avoid taxes by sending me the difference between your profits and $249,999.99 and you take the write-off for my consulting fees. I'll strike a similar deal with hoppycalif2 and hoppy will do the same with dickday.
It'll be a kind of "pay it forward" reverse Ponzi scheme. Someone at the bottom of the pyramid will get very wealthy but oh, the taxes they'll pay!
Sincerely,
DestorPonzi

Excellent B & W picture Rotwang! Is that a Liebovitz? Excellent post too!
I think Keith is just fine. After all, he was the lone voice of reason on the teevee for a long, long time. I think he should be considered a hero. But I'd agree with ya on Rachel except for one small factor: her incessant grinning and giggling. If she could tone that down she comes ver close to perfection.

The substance of Keith and Rachel is great. It's the slapstick delivery that I find annoying. But if that's the way they have to deliver it--by sugar coating it for whatever reason--that's ok. I can live with that. The messages are fairly clear.

Bobbie Batista's eye alignment problem used to bug me. And I used to complain about Aaron Brown getting a little too phony with the thoughtfulness shtick....and then of course, there was Ted Koppel's hair...SIGH...little did I know at the time that this particular venue would only go further downward towards imitating political talk radio and the infotainment shows, and not up....they really were the good old days of actual news channels and programs, lordy: don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you have til it's gone?...

It wasn't her eye alignment so much as that the whites of her eyes were visible all the way around. That makes anyone look crazy.

Andrew,
If you look closely at the b & w photo, Dr. Rotwang appears to be examining your avatar. What does the evil doctor see in that graph?

I love thinking of Rachel Maddow's sound clip, used on the radio show, of Rush saying "Has anyone ever heard of...Rachel Maddow?"

...."at the feet of Rush Limburger."
I read somewhere, his name to be really "Rush Limpballs".....and there was also "George Stupidnopoulos" (Stephanopoulos) questioning Candidate Obama at last year's Democratic debates in Philly with ABC's Charles Gibson.

Maybe someone better watch Rotwang! I would, if I had a teevee.

How to kill a zombie bank... ummm... sell it credit default swaps? But, the death is slower and more dramatic than that of the poorest actor in the offest broadway show.

I enjoyed reading TPM So much more when I didn't have to look at Ann Coulter's picture all the time.
