Ludacrisp! Joe The Plumber Is For McCain Because He's Worried About Israel!!
So now we know why Joe the Plumber is for McCain. He is worried about Israel.
Funny, I would never have guessed. I saw "Joe" being interviewed and he's a rightwing nut (he wants to abolish social security) and a racist (he said Obama reminded him of Sammy Davis, Jr).
So I wouldn't exactly take him for a Judeophile.
These Republicans are amazing. Can't they pick on some other group to exploit for their own nefarious purposes? Does it always have to be Jews and Israel that they incessantly mouth off about? Why do we have to be their wedge ? Do they know, or do they not care, that using Jews as a wedge issue -- intentionally pitting us against the majority -- has a rather ugly history?
What is their problem. Could it be that they believe :"The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" and think we run the world? Guess what, Repubs. We don't. Go bother somebody else.
PS. We're going 80% for Obama no matter what you do. Give it a rest.

JtP could barely get his head around a tax system which may directly affect him, but he's sure on top of the Middle East.
Keep piping it, Joe.

"I'll go ahead and agree with you on that,"
That's really funny. It sounds like the guy has given the matter lots of thought. Someone should ask him to point to Israel on a map.

Not in Florida, and that's the only place anyone bothers to count Jews.

Yer right: in FL it's only 70 per cent.

Well Nixon liked to count them, too. Mostly he was concerned about how many were in the labor department I think.

This year for Halloween, I've decided to dress up as either Sarah Palin, Michele Bachman, Joe the Plumber or The Wolfman.
OOoh, it's getting scary! Like some political Poe!
Happy Halloween!

can I just ask a question?
why do you all feel it's necessary to demonize Joe the Plumber? here's some poor schlep whose only crime was to ask a candidate a question at a photo op. it's not HIS fault that McCain is milking it for all he's worth.
do you really think this guy is deserving of all the spite and contempt you shovel onto him?
October 28, 2008 11:14 PM | Reply | Permalink
Oh, Please! Both McCain AND Sam are milking this for all it's worth. He has invited this type of scrutiny by the press and people in the blogosphere. He has given interviews and press conferences, now he's stumping for McCain. Give me a break! He's a grown man and he was naive to think that all this media exposure would be all good. He's being made a fool of by the McCain campaign and Sam is loving every minute of it.

I still think he was a plant. And with his bloviating today about Obama being the end of Israel, do you really think he thought that up on his own? Especially since he wouldnt say why he thought that or where he got the info.

He's just a stupid guy who thinks it does McCain good to agree with any stupid thing someone says. So some idiot says Obama will result in Israel's destruction, Joe the Plumber says he agrees. If someone said Obama would nuke the North Pole, Joe the Plumber would agree.

gretz wrote why do you all feel it's necessary to demonize Joe the Plumber?
Joe the Plumber is really, Joe the right wing pawn.
Joe the Jester.
Joe the Jester, Fool, reminds me of what it must have been like, for someone to present his or her case before a king and his court. Only to be mocked or ridiculed by some clown trying to humiliate.
Becoming irritating and then the moment you try to reach out and quiet the jester, the King interferes and protects the clown.
McCain is using Joe the Jester as a screen, Using Joe to do McCain’s dirty work.
Joe is the fool, a pawn to be sacrificed, by the coward and ridiculer McCain. Who could give a damn about the common Joe.
After the election, the Joes of the world would find it difficult to even approach his highness, McCain.
In high school sports, I grew accustomed to attacks from people like Joe. On one on one combat my opponents would not face me head on, they would convince some one to weaken me, and then they would approach. Believing they had weakened me without suffering the pain of battle.
Like chess, sending the pawn to be destroyed, in order to capture or gain an advantage.
McCain has no sympathy for what he has done to Joe, Joe is nothing but cannon fodder, to take the hits meant for McCain.
As for Joe, he just doesn’t get it either, because he’s really, just the fool having his fun.

I'll entertain believing him when he publicly corrects the media: His name is not Joe; it is Samuel.

gretz,
when Chelsea Clinton spoke out in support of her mother's Presidential campaign, most of the right wing went bananas attacking her because they said 'when she became part of the campaign she got into the political system and is now a legitimate target.'
I suggest you AND Joe the Plumber are in the political system and are now legitimate targets.

gretz,
Some "poor schlep" who just happened to find himself on tour with the GOP to get McCain elected president. And the question he put to the opposing candidate? "Do you believe in the American Dream?" Hardly a good faith question, but Barack Obama showed more class and good faith than Joe the Author and Possible 2010 Congressional Candidate has proven possible of ever having.

Then he should go campaign for Tzipi Livni, because Netanyahu is the real threat to Israel.

Right wing nut, Joe loves Israel, this does not mean he likes American Jewish people... quite the contrary. I can't believe you don't understand the nuance.

David,
I wonder why he's "Joe" the Plumber since his first name is Samuel.

Joe the Plumber has become the new advisor on McCain foreign policy
Shortly after Wurzelbacher's statement was made, the McCain campaign issued a statement saying "while he's clearly his own man, so far Joe has offered some penetrating and clear analysis that cuts to the core of many of the concerns that people have with Barack Obama's statements and policies."
Let circus continue!

I read recently that Joe the Plumber was trying to get a book deal and may run for Congress.
MJ,
Forget Israel, I'd like to get Joe's views on the Russian incursion into Georgia.

I thought the common wisdom was that without jews in israel there could be no armageddon, no rapture and no judgement day. So for the religious right, Israel is necessary in the same way that a match is necessary when you're trying to start a fire. But that doesn't mean you have the match's longterm interests at heart.

Why do we have to be their wedge ? Do they know, or do they not care, that using Jews as a wedge issue --
Stop kvetching lest I start retching!
When the Zionists decided on pursuing a project that could only be imposed with the agency of powerful, western countries, we willingly offered ourselves up for that position as sacrificial lamb and scapegoat. You wanna have a country carved out of other people's land, you gotta play on that field. And Oy did we enjoy it and take advantage of it while it was good. Why Israel couldn't do enough for the Christian Zionists whose eschatology demanded their destruction. Who's zooming who?
And remember, Zionism, as a practical political possibility, didn't get going until well into the twentieth century. So it's not as if there wasn't a huge amount of evidence about what would most probably happen (and it did) by then, the methods the Zionists used had been totally discredited.
Don't complain- these are the exigencies the Zionists picked, the game they thought Judaism as a religion, and the Jews as a "people" should play.
And how can even Israel's most powerful friends help Israel, when since her very first days, misinformation, misdirection and untruths have been the bulk of Israel's communication with the world?
You thought the Jewish religion just wouldn't be complete with out its own country. Maybe, but we shouldn't have taken out so many HELOCs on ourselves to do it. We're upside down in it now.
