Amazing Stage Management
It has been amazing to watch Barack and Michelle Obama visit with everyone in the crowd, chat, give photo ops, for now twenty minutes after the debate and still counting....while apparently the McCains left the scene.

I think he was worn out after the first 45 minutes

I was watching CNN. What was going on, about half way through, when McCain crossed the stage (while Obama was speaking) and exchanged hand signals with someone while his brow was furled up? Did anyone catch that?

Yeah, I saw that too. I think it was just part of his up-staging of Obama.

Definitely waved off the handshake. Obama had it hanging out there.
I saw a possibly frustration gesture when McCain was in the background, a hand lifted.

I think Barack & Michelle staying so long after McCain fled said as much about the difference between the two of them as did the hour & a half of debate.

Ah, those prostates'll get ya every time.
Barack and Michelle have way too much class to snub all the folks sitting there. We were really pleased to see them posing for pictures with the audience. What a thrill!

I didn't like all of Obama's answers - for instance, he had a great echo line with "I don't understand"; he could have pounded that in a few times:
"I don't understand how we could invade Iraq..."
"I don't understand how more deregulation will help fix the problem that *is* deregulation.."
"I don't understand how someone can be against lobbying, yet have the bulk of campaign staff *be* lobbyists..."
Et al.
I thought Obama was too long-winded on some of his answers. He should have followed the debate advice given to Biden: "attack McCain and keep it short". Oh, and "don't flirt with your opponent".
I watched the whole thing. In the end, Obama mopped the floor with McCain. Not by attacking him, but by looking and acting presidential. And McCain did himself no favors with his doddering snarkiness. He's been reduced to sniveling convulsions - big bad Barack been boppin' him on his noggin?
You betcha.
