Nice. But I wonder if the better comparison is to Caesar declaring himself dictator for life. Something along those lines does seem to be the logical solution to McCain's most recent ploy, which might be termed "there's no room for democracy at a time like this!"

So, when does Georgius Bushius, suspend Federal Elections, indefinitely, pending the financial crisis, and declare Martial Law--to deal with the disappointed citizenry?
Will Big Swinging Dick Cheney resign? Will Bushius appoint Johnus McAnus to be the new VP? Will Georgius Bushius then resign? Will Johnus McAnus then ascend to the Oval Orifice, and announce his support for continued suspension of Federal Elections, indefinitely?

I think the game here is to have McLame bow out at the last minute, and have Biggus Dickus take the helm after McLame is "elected" (wink-wink).
