If anyone is interested in a rather deep discussion about the future of the Web as a democratic instrument, there is a long post on my regular blog. It's far too long for TPM Cafe, but some of you might be interested.

I can really see the similarity in these terms because both web and democracy lay on the same ground that places freedom of thinking and freedom of speech on top of main principles. The two may be seen as paradigms, only that as every paradigm, they need features, extensions, but also boundaries. This can turn into a really interesting philosophical discussion, if we were to use abstract comparisons. A spyware remover is for the web area what a lawyer, a guider or a protection institution of the state is for democracy.

The democracy and the Web are somewhat inseparable. One can't exist without the other. I realized that while reading a security news site. The freedom of speech under the protection of anonymity is maybe the most powerful weapon of the common people.

All these issues you mentioned in this article have a common sphere. They all belong to socials and economics. How come that? Well, it`s rather simple. Journalists bring ethics into discussion related to latest web profits. Overall, there is nothing wrong with web provenience incomes. Nowadays, it shouldn`t be so hard to understand that commerce, or marketing, or transaction market or any other businesses have transferred on the internet. This is simply the present background we find ourselves in. Just take a look at those NYC SEO company representatives. They work a lot and they do a great job. The only thing is that they adapted to the present time`s requests.
