We're very excited that this week we'll be discussing Fareed Zakaria's The Post-American World. Joining Zakaria is a great group: Michael Lind of the New America Foundation, Ann-Marie Slaughter of Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School, The Atlantic's Matt Yglesias, and prolific journalist David Rieff.

A request: why not, just once, invite a voice from the actual left to one of these discussions? Surely the so-called left of the blogosphere has room for the consideration of the views of someone who doesn't simply represent another variation of the DC foreign policy consensus.

It would be nice. Andrew, there is a larger foreign policy community out there. There are even people to the left of Matt Yglesias! Can we hear from them on these issues?
