In re Bittergate:
Reader Waldengirl argues that the Clinton camp's response is particularly duplicitous, in light of its recent dismissal of "the relevance of small-town American states during Hillary's string of losses in January and February."
The Zaftig Redhead just gives in and lets the acrimony flow.
Finally, reader cheekymonkey riffs on Clinton, Obama, and. . . Aristotle.

Obama's supporters are fools. Hillary has run a terrible campaign. Neither candidate is a credible leader. McCain hasn't a clue. Bush has disappeared into the woodwork with his old copy of "My Pet Goat".
For the first time since the election of Kennedy I won't vote. I'd rather spend the time trying to accumulate wealth and weapons.

Every time you turn around, Obama is running
behind voter's back saying what he
really thinks about them.
His word is as good as Chinese dogfood.

If you thought Bill Clinton was a bad president, then
maybe you're right.
Her campaign might have sucked, but she damned
well gets things done.

In her argument, reader Waldengirl is basically saying, "Hillary does it too". That's an implicit admission that Obama dismisses some of the voters he courts. I agree with her about that.

Charles, are there any plans in place for improving recommendation feature? The number of posts seems to be increasing, so posts often fall off the recent list very quickly. For instance, the Zaftig Redhead post you recommended was off the recent list at the cafe and probably would have disappeared if you hadn't recommended it in time. (I also gave it a shout out at my post.) I've found that timing seems to be largest factor in determining whether a post makes the list.
Some suggestions:
1) Editor's recommendations indicated in the recent posts list, perhaps with some icon
2) Longer recent list
3) Display number of recommendations at the list level, which will help people see which recent posts are worth clicking
Thanks

I just read cheekymonkey's great post which didn't even make the list. It's great that you flagged it, but I'm not sure that it's getting a lot of visibility here, since that there's one comment and 4 recommendations.
Meanwhile, the recommended list has 3 posts that consist only of links or reprints of the Huffpo Screw 'Em article. I would have thought that one would have been sufficient.
