Mark Penn-"Don't Blame Me"
Success has a hundred fathers but failure is an orphan. In the LA Times this morning, Mark Penn distances himself from all the big decisions of the Clinton campaign.
As the campaign faces a make-or-break moment, some high-level officials are trying to play down their role in the campaign. Penn said in an e-mail over the weekend that he had "no direct authority in the campaign," describing himself as merely "an outside message advisor with no campaign staff reporting to me.""I have had no say or involvement in four key areas -- the financial budget and resource allocation, political or organizational sides. Those were the responsibility of Patti Solis Doyle, Harold Ickes and Mike Henry, and they met separately on all matters relating to those areas."
Howard Wolfson, the campaign's communications chief, answered that it was Penn who had top responsibility for both its strategy and message. Another aide said Penn spoke to Clinton routinely about the campaign's message and ran daily meetings on the topic.

We can now assume that Clinton's campaign is in a mess financially, has been politically inept and is in organizational disarray. Otherwise it's doing fine or Penn would have disassociated himself further.

Wow, you guys need to read that LA Times article.

I hate to make the analogy, but the article resembles a documentary movie I watched. "No End in Sight" marking all of the disorganization of the disasterous Iraq war.
This candidate wants to run for PRESIDENT?
How she is even close is beyond me.

I know you guys have probably seen this way back. But it seems to take on a whole new meaning when you compare and contrast Hillary's disasterous campaign.

Penn is obviously resorting to a right wing tactic; "Clinton did it."
