Clarence Thomas

user-pic

was hosted by Sinclair Broadcasting's David Smith. I'm glad Clarence has written his book; it's part of the record. But he has to recuse himself if and when any case against Sinclair reaches the Supreme Court, and if this upcoming election is like the last one, Sinclair will deserve to be a defendant on various grounds.

I'm glad Clarence wrote his book. Publishing it in that section of the bookstore is a good idea too- his 'base' will benefit from seeing an African American in print, and at length.

I would like to see that section of the bookstore segregated from the rest, if only because the authors there warrant a new class of literature, which I call Hyper-Fiction, where not only is the book made up. The reality surrounding it is also made up.

It's my understanding that many (all other?) members of the Supreme Court are aghast at the "tell all" quality of this man's writing (behavior?).

I doubt the Supremes would want it in their section, if they had one!

Does Thomas have a history of recusing himself when in such cases?  According to Toobin he does not, and there is no way to force recusal (for example Scalia, a Cheney hunting buddy deciding in the case that challenged Cheney's right to secret meetings to set energy policy).  It will be interesting to see what happens.

Obviousy  Elcampiono has an obsession with CVille Dem.  He is trying to impress me with his 1.
