Kenneth Starr investigation total expenses: Through September 2001: $59,463,703.00
Oh, and did I forget to mention that Scooter was convicted of perjury and obstructing justice while Ken Starr failed to get a conviction of anyone of note. And what about the effect of the underlying crime? Well, Scooter’s activities helped destroy an intelligence network during a time of war. Bill Clinton’s activities put a strain on his marriage but did not inflict physical harm on a soul.
As the successor to George Bush weighs possible Attorney General choices, Patrick Fitzgerald ought to be at the top of the list. The man gets results, the man is frugal, and the man can’t be bought.
And finally, be sure to order Valerie’s soon to be realized book. Three weeks and counting.

Just add 3 zeros and consider that is about what the Democratic controlled Congress is willingly voting to waste every single week in Iraq.

"failed to get a conviction of anyone of note" Hey, he got Web Hubbel for overbilling, and he could have gotten Hubbel's dog too if he had wanted.

Guess that depends on your definition of what "of note" is.
Fourteen convictions including Jim Guy Tucker, governor of Arkansas and Webb Hubbel, number three official in the Justice Department

They were after Clinton;
Jim Guy Tucker was a Clinton political enemy,
Hubble was convicted of a crime committed not while he was in the White House. He overbilled while at the Rose Law Firm, and from what I understand this resulted in Hubbles' stealing money from from Hillary.
Never forget, they were after Clinton, not Tucker, Hubble etc.

Although I salute you for your efforts, it should be noted that your effort becomes moot while attempting to point out the obvious to a angler trolling the bottom for sucker fish.
