I can hardly wait to dig into Frank Rich's new book "The Greatest Story Ever Sold." Great title too.

What's the point of this post? Frank Rich is fantastic but let's talk about it after you read his book.
Actually, I appreciate the heads up.

Noticing the way thing work, and the way things find there own way around, you can only have an open opinion of what things look like in a limited point of view, there are a few things the book can open up...
Yeah but is TPMCafe about pushing books or discussing important issues. This post lacks insight and seems out of place to me, but maybe that's just me.
While it's easy to publish on the Web, when we do we should have something to say.
Great book, although its about as uplifting as Tom Rick's FIASCO. Still a good read.
Since finishing the book I get to watch the midterm elections for the bus accident they are, but now in slow motion. Thanks, Mr. Rich!
I'm listening to the audio book as I commute this week. It's a great summary of Bush's duplicity.

Does the book offer anything other than Bush bashing? It sounds like another Bush-is-an-idiot book. Don't we already know that Bush sucks. I guess that's why I stopped reading political books. I switched back to reading literature after I read books by Michael Moore, Al Franken, Molly Ivin and Jim Hightower. At least with literature you get a story, with most political books you get a lot of, "look what dummy did."
Frank Rich is a fabulous and hilarious writer, so I'm certain his book is great.
Actually a great political book is David Brock's Blinded By The Right. It's provides fascinating insight into the Republican movement during the Clinton years. At one point during the book I remember saying to myself, "If I ever see this David Brock jerkoff I'm going to spit in his face." Now I actually really admire the guy, he's doing really great work at Media Matters.
It's a good refresher course with a lot of specifics. I'd forgotten, for example, how the Bush team would send Laura Bush for photo-ops at libraries right before Bush stealthily cut $39 million dollars of federal funding for libraries. There's a lot of that type thing in the book.
