Norm Podhoretz "Is the Bush Doctrine Dead?":

Paul Mirengoff of the blog Power Line, taking account of the role of prudential judgment in a variety of countries with differing circumstances, does a good job of defending Bush’s record in this area against his neoconservative critics.
And there you have it. Somewhat embarrassingly, though, I actually do agree with Podhoretz that the Bush doctrine is not, in fact, dead.

I agree that it's not dead, but one thing that's changed is the loss of electoral support for the Bush doctrine.

If the WH wants to act militarily against Iran, they'll likely do it after the elections, not before.

That's a noteworthy alteration in the political calculus of the Bush doctrine.
