Questions to ask Bolton tomorrow
I suspect that the staff-members of senators on the Foreign Relations Committee will be up late preparing statements tonight and questions for their Senators to ask during tomorrow's confirmation hearings.
If you are reading, ladies and gentleman on the Hill, thanks for your hard work. I hope I can make your job easier with two questions for your senator to ask:
- Why hasn't Ambassador Bolton travelled to key conflict zones with the rest of the Security Council membership? Think Progress has all the information in a really excellently done post.
- Is Ambassador Bolton's style of diplomacy and tactics on UN reform creating an environment that encourages other states to pave the way for Venezuela's potentially disruptive memberhsip on the Security Council next year? The details from yours truly up at Raw Story.

Yes, too bad Bolton didn't visit the UN Post in Khiam last night...

I think the reason why Bolton hasn't traveled to any conflict zones is because in the final analysis, he doesn't believe in a UN, and to go to these places in its name, would be saying, in effect, that he does.
