That's no homophobia, that's a dull pun. His comic is usually not funny. You should ding him for that instead of making stuff up.

That male character hasn't moved for 4 strips in a row.

I suppose if we are going to split hairs, its not exactly homophobic. (why are people who hate gay people described as homophobes anyway? We don't call people who hate black people afrophobes or something. It is kind of inaccurate, you can hate something without being afraid of it.)
It is however, a pretty revealing ad hominem attack. What in god's name does the fact that Sullivan disagrees with him about Kant have to do with Sullivan's sexuality?
Its kind of odd how Sullivan always gets accused by conservatives of being fixated on gayness. As a gay, politically engaged guy why shouldn't he have lots of thoughts and opinions on gay issues. You might as well accuse Daniel Drezner of spending too much time talking about academia.
But, of course, all this discussion of gayness is obviously just too icky and he should stick to talking about things that don't make conservatives uncomfortable...

I cannot see why several bloggers have chosen to dignify "Day By Day" by even responding to it.
What's next, guys? Are you going to keep us up-to-date on the jingoistic sloganeering of "Mallard Fillmore?"

I commented on it because, well, I'm a philosophy professor (if Matt were about ten years older, I would have been his TF), and the phrase 'Kantian nihilism' was more than I could bear.
Chris Muir showed up in our comments, and (if it was indeed him) he's even dumber in person. The link I gave is to his first appearance; read about fifteen comments or so to get the full flavor of his cluelessness.

Besides, if I hadn't written about this, I wouldn't have gotten to write the sentence:
"Because we all know how firmly Kant supported wild sex orgies, continual wallowings in mud and feces, and not needing food and water."
And my life would have been the poorer for it.

"Chris Muir responds with a little homophobia"
Is "homophobia" generally perceived as an ethically neutral term? There still seems to be some acceptance and tolerance of the "fear" of homosexuals, as opposed to "hatred".
Call me old fashion but hate speech is hate speech.

I think it's vaguely homophobic toward Andrew Sullivan.
