Didn't you get the memo? Godwin's law has been amendment to replace "Nazi/Hitler" with "Al-Qaeda/Osama bin Ladin/ 9-11".

Am I crazy, or does the ad look like it was edited by a 4-year old?? I cannot believe the errors in that thing! Way to make your point guys.

Thinking that some dumbfucks new book on negative politics being a good thing suggests that getting it out there and pulling it is better than not getting it out there at all.

By the way, Yglesias, you are a baby killer.

Sorry about that, the guy responsible for calling Yglesias a baby killer has been sacked.

Here's teh douchebag now:

David Mark, the former editor of Campaigns and Elections magazine. He's the author of "Going Dirty: The Art of Negative Campaigning”

Sez swiftboating was good for the public.

Say yglesias, I hear you sell out Jews and have an illicit love black baby fathered by a gay latino. I am not sure how I feel about that, how do you others feel about that?

Once again I have to apologize, the guy responsible for sacking the guy that was responsible has been sacked.

Say, a moose once bit my sister.

Agreed. Exactly.

If it's a close race in the end, Granholm is going to need to get as many black votes as possible to win. If the GOP dirty tricks squad can fly under the radar and plant the seeds of doubt, change the ratio of the black vote from 91-9 to 85-15 and lower black turnout a bit, they will have succeeded.

It's only through publicizing this ridiculous ad and pointing out its obvious falsehoods and using it to rally blacks behind her in even greater numbers than before that Granholm can turn that to her advantage, and we will see if she succeeds in doing so.

The headline 'sometimes a handshake and and acknowledgement make a difference' brought an entirely different association to my mind: that picture of Rumsfeld shaking Saddam's hand!

The GOP is the party of Lincoln, who freed the slaves. Why are blacks still voting for the pro-slavery Democratic party?

These ads practically right themselves.

I think Granholm should run against Amway, founded by her billionaire opponent Dick DeVos' father of the same name, which is just a creepy cult/giant pyramid scheme anyway. And it was started by Hitler. Or its founders supported him. Or whatever.

"Rich DeVos was president of Amway when it was fined the largest sum a Canadian court ever levied in a criminal case. During the 70s, Amway was charged with defrauding the Canadian government of millions in tax revenues under an elaborate scheme. Amway attributed the issue to their unconventional business model, but nevertheless admitted guilty corporate criminal fraud, as part of deal that saved DeVos and his partner Jay Van Andel from imprisonment."

Granholm is already screwed in Detroit; Even if just as many real voters support her, Jackie Currie won't be padding the total anymore.

Good point,

I can't wait to see DeVos budget plan:

We sign up 5 small states as affliates who then sign up 5 states each...

Really when you come down to it is essentially the same as Tony Soprano's business model.

What do you really know about the Amway Plan?
Ever heard of frequent flyer miles? ever heard of cash rewards for using particular credit cards?

Modeled after the Amway Plan, what the hell difference, what soap you use as long as it pays you to use it.
As for Amways problems with Canadian taxes. It has never been illegal to avoid taxes it's illegal to evade taxes.

I could only dream of making the kind of money this pyramid produces, and I'd like to be the Pharoah; besides, I personally know three individuals who are financially secure, because they understood the circles (The Amway Plan)

Christianity spread by a similar method. From one came many.

Look at Amways balance sheet and tell me you got a better plan?
The problem with Amway, is that you have to weed through stinkin thinkin, people looking for handouts with no ambition, letting immigrants do the hard work and then complain how broke they are. People who haven't figured out that a 9 to 5 job won't bring riches to most people.

So please spare the anti Amway ridicule, I'm afraid the plan went over your heads.

Adolph Mongo has been bashing Granholm pretty hard in the local media for awhile. It can be reasonably assumed that he's on the Devos payroll at this point.

The Republicans are "scurrying away" from this one? What a joke - this is textbook "swift-boating", Adolph Mongo style.

I would also point out that the crudeness of the ad, as noted above by BP32, is by design, making it easier for the Devos people to distance themselves from the nutty negroes publishing the Chronicle.

You know, I have absolutely no idea if you are serious or sarcastic. You leave too few clues. Your whole line about Democrats being pro-slavery and whatnot just drips of sarcastic parody, but your attack against Amway sounds like you're serious.

So either you're a conservative nutter who's gone off the deep end, or you're a liberal nutter who thinks attacking Amway is a good idea.

I think you're just a nutter. :)
