King of All (New) Media
Want to read my take on the Palestinian elections and what it implies for the future? Of course you do. But wouldn't you rather watch my remarks as I make my debut on BloggingHeads.tv? Perhaps you wouldn't, but at least you know the option is there. I'll admit that there's some possibility that this is embarrassingly bad, but what's the internet for if not humiliating oneself.

I just can't get really into this blogging heads thing. For starters, most of the people who have interesting things to say on these subjects are NOT people at whom I particularly want to look. Also, I prefer reading because I can control the speed at which I go through it, skimming the parts I'm less interested in, and re-reading or stopping to think about things that are more interesting or thought provoking. That's much harder with podcasts or blogheads.
But, anyway, good show. Smart call by whoever decided to seat you in front of an American Prospect sign on the wall. Good branding is important. But you should sit farther from the camera next time, and lower relative to it. That will be a more flattering angle for you. You might also want to have a light source below or beside you.
(Note: following on petey's commentary yesterday, I'm restricting myself to the superficial presentation aspects of your appearance, not the content.)

Cute! Your voices is kind of squeaky. But endearing.
I quite enjoy the bloggingTV thing, but mainly as a curiosity. I don't see anything in the dialogue you and Wright just had that wouldn't have just as -- probably more -- cogently expressed in an email exchange. And like person above said, with an email exchange I can read it at my leisure.
But I do like finding out what people look like.

The Daily Howler:
Again, we’ll cite this post by Reed Hundt. ...
In the comments to Hundt’s post, a dispute rages about whether Dowd (and other pundits) were actually right in their assessments of Bush and Gore’s personal styles. For example, were pundits right when they (incessantly) said that Gore was just hopelessly boring?
We offer a fairly obvious observation. Citizens don’t need pundits to tell them which hopeful is boring. Citizens can judge such things for themselves! Duh! Citizens can judge for themselves whether a presidential candidate is boring (or inappropriately dressed). Was Gore overbearing in Bush-Gore Debate 1? Citizens can judge that for themselves. (Instant polls made it fairly clear that the public’s judgment was “no.”) But how about this: Was Bush telling the truth about his budget plan in that debate? And who was right in the dramatic dispute about Bush’s prescription drug proposal? Citizens do need help with such factual matters—and their pundits simply refused to provide it. “It makes my head hurt,” Ted Koppel told Larry King the next night, when asked about a fundamental factual dispute from that crucial first debate—and no, he never answered the question. Koppel was being paid millions per year—and he should have been fired that night. His lazy ass should have been kicked to the curb in front of his priceless McMansion.

Your face is disturbingly pink.
That I can now know this fact is truly a breakthrough in the world of blogging.

You did fine but I do think the Kaus-and-Wright pairing has a special chemistry that they'd be better off not messing with too often. I thoroughly enjoy those episodes of the show but the ones with fill-in guest vloggers... enh.

Really? Their "chemistry" seems to be that Wright does 80% of the talking while Kaus tries, but fails, to interrupt; which is understandable on Wright's part, since most of what Kaus says is moronic. But I actually wondered if they brought Yglesias in on this because Kaus was sick of having Wright talk over him.

Tried to watch this just now, and I can hear Wright, but I can't hear you. Something must be wrong. I didn't see anywhere on the site to comment, so I'll tell you. I use Firefox, don't know if that is the problem.

Rather than commenting on Hamas, you look like you represent Hamas.

I think that Wright's audio is on the left stereo channel and Yglesias's is on the right, so it sounds like you're only hearing the left for some reason.

i.e. Waste Of Bandwidth.
VLogging should be restricted to cases where visual presentation is necessary -- or at least an element of of the presentation. Talking head blogging, unless it is done by naked people who look like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, is a waste of bandwidth....
and the audiences time.

I know that both Gore and Kerry were damaged by the Dork image they project. I run with a fairly uninformed crowd, they operate on instinct. They are best described as Nascar, Ice Hockey, Pro Wrestling fans. Good men, working stiffs, great and loyal friends but everyone of them dumber than that cow-pie in the oval office. Most of them didn't bother to vote. Sad but true. Believe me the Dork factor is as important as qualifications to a lot of people. I watched Gore...great message...but still a Dork.
