What's New...
Today at TPMCafe, both Anne-Marie Slaughter and Reed Hundt respond to Al Gore's impassioned speech yesterday. E.J. Graff comments on the Supreme Court's decision to uphold Oregon's assisted -suicide law, and Nathan Newman (back from his honeymoon) discusses the why we need to expand immigrant rights. America Abroad's Bruce Jentleson and reader Devon react to this morning's NYT article how the illegally obtained information acquired by the NSA was actually unhelpful. Also, Paul Kiel has the latest muck here.
Finallly, we kicked off the latest installment of our Book Club yesterday with this introductory post by Peter Bergen about his new book The Osama bin Laden I Know: An Oral History of al Qaeda's Leader. The commentators quickly jumped into the discussion, including America Abroad's Juliette Kayyem, John Stuart Blackton, The New Republic's Spencer Ackerman, and Fawaz Gerges. Please join us in the discussion of Peter's book and the larger questions it raises about American foreign policy and the war on terrorism.

Kate, on
Bruce Lawrence's new post on Bergen book club the link to TPMCafe Book Club does not lead to TPMCafe Book Club but instead takes one back to the home page.
I mention it because it was at the top of the page, and I thought it would be an easy way to read all the other Bergen posts at once, which I haven't done yet, and which have scrolled off the home page. I betcha others would appreciate if that was fixed or an alternative, such as a short post to link to the Bergen page.

And Juliette's Bergen post, the only other one on the home page, has the same problem, the link to Book Club does not take you to a page of all the Book Club posts, but rather back to the home page.
