Yes I promised but
really five straight wins to make the play-off's is a sufficient excuse, don't you think, for a Skins post? You got to hand it to coaching discipline not to mention some very tough-minded players. They were 5 and 6 and my goodness, what a run. Rematch with Tampa, the squad that needed a very arguable two point conversation to prevail in their last meeting. Delish....I did find e-bay's ticket auctioning to be undisciplined; how can sellers declare that the bidding will end on January 3 for tickets to a game played January 1? There ought to be an e-bay law against that sort of clumsiness a/o chicanery....but fortunately in this increasingly virtual world there are still folks outside the stadium with a pair in the end zone...so my son and his buddy got in while I stayed to watch at home....happy new year to all! r.

What a strange NFL day. I found myself actually rooting for the Eagles, and I still feel dirty inside for doing it. :P

Kudos to coach Gibbs. I have to admit that after leaving the Metro area years ago I had given up the Skins for dead, but I am glad to see Gibbs bring them back to the playoffs. It was all the more sweet that with the win they sent Dallas packing for the winter!
Gripe: Now that I live in Michigan, it is bad enough that I have the Lions as the local team, but come on, at least show the Skins v Eagles game instead of the meangless Vikes v Bears :/

You know, the thing really is that the Eagles work to lose. Or, at least, that's what my father was shouting at the tv during our family's annual New Year's Day dinner of pork and sushi (I know it is weird, but it works for us, okay).

The NFC stinks. I don't think any team from the NFC, except in extraordinary circumstances, could or will beat any of the six AFC teams. Seattle is pretty good. Every other team sucks. The Skins will lose in round 1.

Or did Joe Buck think he was calling a Cowboys game? Honestly, Fox has it so bad for Dallas that it's unwatchable. I guess I only just noticed it's this horrific since moving to California - I can't just turn on Sonny Sam and Frank anymore.
Gibbs 2008 - if ever we need a turnaround artist, it's now! =)
