Don't Believe Bob Ney

user-pic

Bob Ney, writing in his hometown paper is trying to take credit for helping our ordinary folks with their steep home heating bills.

Ney says that he's working to get more funds for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) program.

Oh really? The reality is that he voted for the energy bill that gave tens of millions for oil and gas companies that are making heating prices so high.

The oil and gas industry has contributed $119,839 to Bob Ney

I'm no friend of Bob Ney (and I can talk--I'm in his district), but it is possible for both those things to be true.  Just because he voted for the energy bill doesn't mean he's not now working to get more funds for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program.  It would be more constructive to point how how he's not working to get more funds for LIHEAP if that is the case.
