Screw This Condo
Check out this somewhat brilliant use of animation created by the janitor union in Florida which, by targeting abuses by condo management against residents, is working to build allies for the workers fighting the same management.
It was produced by the same folks who brought us the Meatrix a few years ago.

That's pretty impressive. I hope someone's giving those animators, Free Range Graphics, some serious Soros money. (I'm trying to coin the phrase "Soros money" to describe general philanthropy in support of long-term, strategic left-liberal causes, i.e. the left-wing equivalent of "Scaife money" or "Olin money.")
So how might unions attempting to organize Wal-Mart, for instance, symbolically connect their cause to the average consumers' cause in a way similar to what's been done here with Continental Condos in Miami. The obvious problem, it seems to me, is that Wal-Mart presents itself as an ally of the consumer in the most direct way. They sell really cheap stuff. So what's the theme that acknowledges that reality while at the same time persuading consumers that there are more important matters at stake?
